Ashley Gavelek is a Nurse Practitioner at Albany Urology Clinic and Surgery Center. Ashley worked as an LPN in long-term care while continuing her education to get her associate degree in nursing. After completing her associate degree at Darton College, she worked on a general med surg floor before transferring to the emergency department. “I gained most of my nursing experience in the ER while seeing a wide range
of medical problems both acute and chronic.” Ashley decided to pursue her Master’s of Science in Nursing at South University. After completing her master’s degree, she worked in primary care for 5 years as an FNP. “I feel that primary care gave me a firm foundation for my nursing career.” Ashley has over 10 years of experience in the medical field.
