Missy East is the Family Nurse Practitioner for Albany Urology Clinic and has over 20 years in the nursing field. She started her journey at Thomas University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She continued her education at Kennesaw State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters of Science in Nursing.
Missy has excelled as a Family Nurse Practitioner at many locations including: Phoebe Health Systems, Darton State College, Colquitt Regional Hospital, and currently, Albany Urology Clinic and Surgery Center. She believes that comprehensive health management encompasses the benefits of prevention, patient empowerment, and lifelong learning in the patient-provider relationship. Missy has challenged her skills in many different fields including in the emergency room and an orthopedic neurology step down unit. In 2007-2011, Missy devoted her time to nursing students at Darton College as an instructor. She provided simulation labs and hospital clinical experience to the aspiring nurses.
In her spare time, Missy prides herself in her four children and two grandchildren. She loves to camp and kayak, and even makes her own soap!
