Dr. Michael B. Monahan was born and raised in Albany, GA. He attended Deerfield Windsor. He then earned his undergraduate from University of Georgia and obtained a dual degree in microbiology and biology. He then earned his Doctorate at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Monahan completed residency in general surgery at Botsford Hospital and was the co-chief resident in Urology.
Dr. Monahan was an Associate Clinical Professor of Urology at Michigan State University as well as Chief Resident at Michigan State University in 2015-16. He is a clinical professor of surgery at Medical College of Georgia and PCOM.
Dr. Monahan joined our physicians at Albany Urology August of 2016 and is excited to bring to the table the latest techniques in Urological care.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, football (Go Dawgs!) skiing and other outdoor activities. He loves to cook and entertain family and friends.
